Hill Descent Control
Feel confident on steep slopes
Negotiating a tricky slope? Use Hill Descent Control (the switch is just under the 4WD selector dial). The L200 will automatically apply the brakes to maintain your current speed. It means you can focus your attention on steering, without having to think about applying the brakes.
Large Front Disc Brakes
Improved braking efficiency
Models with 18-inch wheels are equipped with enlarged front ventilated disc brakes. These provide greater braking efficiency. It's just one more way the new model L200 is ready for whatever life throws at it.

Lightweight 2.2 Litre Turbo Diesel Engine
Powerful, economical engine
The L200 has a 2.2 litre 16-valve lightweight all-aluminium engine block and precision common rail direct injection system. This makes it highly fuel efficient and economical, yet it has all the punchy acceleration and robust torque you'll ever need. It also produces lower CO2 emissions.
Smoothes out the bumps
In the front, you've got a rugged double wishbone with coil springs and a stabilizer bar, and in the rear, above-the-axle leaf springs. The upshot is a stable, comfortable ride on even the most demanding terrain.

Note: in models with SS4-II, OFF ROAD MODE is only available in the 4HLc and 4LLc settings. *In models with SS4-II, the ROCK setting is only available in the 4HLc and 4LLc settings.
Note: on vehicles with M/T, set the drive mode selector to “4LLc” position. When using the Hill Descent Control while driving except in “4LLc” position, the engine may stall. As a result, it could lose the brake effectiveness or lock the tyres, which may lead to a serious accident.
